Besides customers, the show presents a brief segment on the personal lives tattoo artists. . Miami Ink season one was initiated on 19 July, 2005. The series had a smooth ride of five enlightening seasons before finishing its run in year 2008.Its different brand of entertainment came as a breadth of fresh air. Ami James, Chris Nunez, Darren Brass, Yoji Harada and Chris Graver were the prominent tattoo artists that presented their expertise in Miami Ink seasons.

Miami Ink is a reality based series filmed in a tattoo shop of the same name. Personal lives of tattoo artists and their clientage are presented in parallel. Miami Ink is in-depth peek into the unique story behind each tattoo. It shows how people associate with a particular tattoo. During this period they struck a close bond of friendship. However, later they seperated and started their individual tattooing businesses. Miami Ink was their endeavor to reunite and open new tattoo parlors under partnership.
