This one doesn’t have any professional actors, acting in the series. In fact its real tattoo artists who show their creativity and become a part of their clients lives through their art.

Ami james

This American tattoo artist was born on April 6, 1972, in Israel. It seems as if he was in love with tattoos from his very childhood. He got his first tattoo of a dragon when he was 15 years old. Five years later he became a professional tattoo artist.

He is best known for his role in Miami Ink, as the co-owner of the tattoo shop “Miami Ink”. James also co-owns the “DeVille” clothing company with Núñez and Jesse Fleet, and the Miami nightclub “Love Hate Lounge”, with Núñez and two other close friends.

Ami currently resides in Miami.

Chris Núñez

This 32 year old, is pretty famous with women, and is generally referred as ‘the ladies man’. He grew up in Miami, though of was born in Cuba. He got his first tattoo made at the age of 16. He began his career as a graffiti artist and later became a professional tattoo artist.

He is famous as co-owner of Miami Ink, the tattoo shop. He also owns a Miami-based clothing design company, DeVille USA along with Ami James and Jesse Fleet, and co-owns Miami nightclub Love Hate Lounge with James.

Chris currently resides in Miami, Florida and believes in enjoying life to the fullest.

Chris Garver

Chris is widely believed to one of world’s best tattoo artist. Chris is also known as the intellectual and the big brother to the crew. He is a tattoo artist featured on the TLC reality television show Miami Ink. He is being considered eldest and respected by his crew members. He says his favorite tattoo is the one that he received 3 years back from a monk in Thailand.

He grew up in Pittsburgh and received his first tattoo at 6 years old - when he was accidentally stabbed in the finger with a pencil. At the age of 15 he received his first professional tattoo. He sold off his guitar, to buy tattoo equipment, when he was 17.

He enjoys playing guitar, traveling and listening to live bands.

Darren Brass

Originally from Waterbury, Connecticut, he is half Irish, half Polish. You will definitely fall in love if you meet him once, with the kind of personality and person that he is. An American tattoo artist, he is currently starring on The Learning Channel reality television show “Miami Ink”. He has a background in graffiti style design work. He received his first professional tattoo at the age of 18 on his birthday. Along with his other crew members he definitely knows how to party hard.

Yojiro Harada

This 32 year old, was born in Tokyo, Japan. He is married to Bridget and is father of a newborn daughter. Yoji likes to play guitar. He is a bilingual and speaks fluent English and Japanese. Whenever he goes to his native place, Tokyo, people are scared of him, because he has tattoos on both his arms, which is a sign of a mafia. He is also the lead singer of a punk rock band. He performed his first tattoo on himself.

In the Miami Ink, he has a dual role, as the parlor’s apprentice - a role that is a combination of pledge in the roughest fraternity and the opening and closing crew.

Story so far

Miami Ink has entered its fourth season, which is still on air. The series is telecasted on TLC, on Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. The series takes into account both the artist and its clients, showcasing the emotional stories behind the tattoos.
