Ink in Your Skin with Miami Ink

I only suspected earlier that people can not have just one tattoo, but now I am sure of it. It’s an art so fascinating that anyone who experiences it once returns to it for more. There was a time when I thought that tattoos were for punks and weirdoes or at best, body builders and bikers with skull helmets. But Miami Ink TV Show made me change my mind.

Here was a bunch of extremely talented bunch of artists on whose canvass was the bodies of individuals of all shapes and sizes. These people, who walked into the tattoo parlor in Miami, had their own diverse reasons for getting a tattoo. Some brought their own designs whereas others brought only their raw ideas. And Chris Garver and his friends would work on those raw ideas until they would take the shape of a beautiful image that was then tattooed on the body of the person.

Trust me the people who walked into the parlor were no punks or weirdoes, they were people you meet everyday, in your office, stores or the tube you take to reach home every evening. Each had something special that they wanted to keep with them forever and what could be better than to get a tattoo of that as a constant reminder. A lost pet, a place they just visited, their child or parent, a girl friend or boyfriend, an haunting idea that would not leave them alone and demanded expression, it could be just anything under the sun.

Miami Ink TV Show changed the way I looked at the tattoo artists and the people who sport tattoos, for I now know what they were thinking when they sat down with the tattooist to get their skin inked. I understand that tattoo is not just a fad but a statement a person makes. It is a form of self expression and pain that accompanies the tattoo is actually an essential part of the whole cathartic experience.

Two tattoos that I have now seem insufficient to me and I am already working on the third one that I am planning to get on my ankle.

Beyond Miami Ink

End of road is not a dead-end, if one observes there is always another route that provides us an opportunity to traverse new horizons. End of “Miami Ink” is not an absolute termination of whole idea behind this informative TV show about art and artistry behind tattooing. Tattooing is not simply having a picture engrossed on one’s body.  A tattoo on someone’s flesh is reflective of an individual’s personality. A tattoo erases difference between black and white. Who knows what color of flesh is hidden behind a complex tattoo image. A tattoo can be reflective of a strong bond of relation between two individuals. It is not surprising how often we see boys having names of their girlfriends engraved on their bodies. It is a way to say to someone that I care! I value our relationship.

I simply loved “Miami Ink” for providing us an in-depth knowledge about the diverse reasons of diverse personalities to have tattoos on their bodies. A patriot would want a symbol of national pride tattooed on his body. A daredevil would want monstrous and beastly images tattooed. A simple person would contemplate having an artistic image engrossed onto his flesh. We all are not same but we love to have tattoos. It creates a virtual bonding that wipes away all differences.

My personal experience of watching “Miami Ink” episodes can be compared to a small pond of awareness of tattooing art that has grown into a river of knowledge in this field. It was a journey that lasted four seasons and I still savor each moment of this journey. Lets paint the whole world, all people with tattoos of different shapes and sizes so that there is no difference between black, white, rich, poor, young, old. We will all be symbolic of a single flame that will illuminate the whole earth.

Miami Ink TV show is a token of unison of all differences. Its renzedevous of an unequal with another unequal, which sums up to equality. I was eager to download Miami Ink episodes and when I discovered that this website allows downloading of this TV shows to its privileged members I wasted no time to subscribe to its membership. Now I am proud owner of this token of unison of differences.

The First International Bar of Love Hate

Hi everyone!!!

Our favorite TV show “Miami Ink” stars, Chris Nunez and Ami James have chosen Montreal as the first International setting for their rock bar, “Love Hate.”

The bar would open up for public from Thursday, 29^th January, 2009 from 8 pm onwards. It is situated on the corner of Notre-Dame Est and Place Jacques Cartier, in Old Montreal. It will be an awesome opportunity for media and fans to see their favorite tattoo masters. Amongst various high names of the tattoo world, people like Sterling Downey and Pierre Chaplan would be there.

The house where ‘Love Hate’ has been made, was built in 1800 on land gifted to Lambert Closse by Paul de Chomedey de Maisonneuve.

After the debut and success of reality TV show “Miami Ink” Love Hate (an American Band) was launched. The show shot Ami James and Chris Nunez to international fame and their brand has a wide variety of line ups like a tattoo parlor, a clothing line, a chopper shop, a couple of lounges and also Love Hate Productions.

The show simply rocks, and the success of other ventures, especially this bar in Montreal is a testimony of this fact.

No more of ‘Miami Ink’

After the season four, ‘Miami Ink’ is over. Although we all were expecting another season of series, but TLC Network has made it clear that series would not return with fifth season.

Series was all about a tattoo shop and it took us into the depth of the tattoos world, giving closer view to the customers seeking to have tattoos. In each episode, we met a no. of customers with different backgrounds and with different reasons to choose their tattoos. Personal lives of the tattoo artists, Ami James, Chris Garver, Darren Brass and Chris Nunez, were also given an equal importance.

While watching the episodes of Miami Ink, we always feel like the customers simply walk in off the street, but actually they’re always pre-selected.

Among the popular celebrities, who appeared on ‘Miami Ink’, were Evan Seinfeld, musician; Sunny Garcia - Pro surfer; Bam Margera - Professional skateboarder, actor, prankster; Mark Zupan - Athlete; H2O - Band; Phil Varone - Musician; Anthony Bourdain - Chef/author/television personality; Harold Hunter - Skateboarder; Lloyd Banks - Rapper and Johnny Messner - Actor and the list continues…….. The customers include buddies from all walks of life and the very famous ones also.

When ‘Miami Ink‘ began, we watched all the tattoo artists working in the same shop. Later, they went their separate ways and opened their different tattoo parlous in Los Angeles. As the time passed by, they realized that they must reunite and open their tattoo parlor together.

Where is Miami Ink Season 5……………?

Hey all you tattoo fans. Now that Miami Ink has not returned for a fifth season and there is no news about reviving the season, it’s high time we accept the fact that the series has been terminated. I know it’s really sad and heart breaking and you have no reason to let your hopes die down. But while surfing the net, I just came across a news article which just sort of confirmed my worst fears. It has been reported that the Miami Ink Tattoo Shop, where the episodes of the reality show were actually shot has been turned into a gift shop. Now if you don’t call that confirmation of the series being axed, I can’t imagine what else to say? It is so bad that the series has been ended so abruptly. The series which was the only of its kind was really doing well and in my opinion should have been renewed for a few more seasons at least.

I did not really start watching the show until it was well half of the first season. But I really liked the show after I saw its two or three episodes. It was just wonderful to watch the amazing artist create wonderful designs on the bodies of other people. The show started a new fashion trend amongst which was soon popular with every age and class of society. At the same time it revived the age old art of Tattooing. It makes me really sad to see that such a wonderful show has seen such an abrupt ending. But I really do hope that some day the creators will realize their mistake and the series will be revived. Till then let’s keep hoping!!

Miami Ink (Tattoo) fans…. Attention!

When I started writing this post, I didn’t think to give it the above title. Initially, I thought to entitle it as ‘Chris Garver at Singapore’s First Tattoo show’. But, I changed it to the given one. Reason behind this change was that I thought – this one is better. Ha ha ha

Okay, please pay attention, what I am gonna tell you. Actually, Event Organizer, Tattoo.com.sg is going to hold the 1^st Singapore Tattoo show at the Singapore Expo from January 9-11, 2009. The event is going to be sponsored by Singapore Tourism Board. Well, all you tattoo lovers will be pleased to know that your heart throb Chris Graver of Miami Ink is the show ambassador.

All you must please go there (if it’s possible). The most famous tattooists will join it to showcase their tattoo talents and also to exhibit their unique collections. More than 5000 visitors are expected to attend the event and over 60 tattoo artists will adjoin them. I think, I’ve already mentioned that I’m crazy for tattoos and that’s why I love to watch ‘Miami Ink’ series. It’s the only one show of its kind and has recently finished airing the fourth season.

Nowadays, I am looking for the updates about season 5. Yesterday, I stumbled through several sites to grab some updates buy unluckily, I didn’t get even a single update regarding season 5. When they’re gonna air it? What will be new this time? What you expect from the next season… many queries are yet to be answered. Really… don’t know, what I should do, to have some information on season 5.

Okay, if you guys have any information regarding upcoming episodes, then, please let me know. I’m very curious to know. Nowadays, I am watching previous episodes of ‘Miami Ink’ in order to satisfy my lust of some more episodes. You can also watch the season 4 episodes here!

Miami Ink- what about Season 5?

Okay, let’s first talk about the Miami Ink season 4 as we don’t have any updates regarding season 5.

Season opened on April 24 with the episode entitled ‘Make or Break‘ and 13 episodes were aired during the season. Season finale ‘And Baby Makes Three‘ was aired on August 21 2008.

Now, it’s the time to think about upcoming season. When it’s gonna air and what’d be new and refreshing this time. Most probably, we’ll once again meet with a new shop and some new blood as they done in season 4. And, who’ll be appearing this time as a customer? Already we’ve seen various celebrity faces on series and the list includes Bam Margera, a professional Skateboarder as well as an actor; Phil Varone, a Musician; Johnny Messner, an Actor; Chris Jacobs, host of TLC’s Overhaulin; Paula Meronek, from MTV- the real world; Diablo Dimes, a Musician and many, many more.

Hey! Whom you expect in the new season…. Well, honestly I am looking for Britney Spears and Tom Cruise to appear. Yeah, yeah…, I know it’s not going to happen but just suppose, if it happens… things would be rocking. If Britney can appear on How I Met Your Mother, then why can’t on Miami Ink Season 5?

Hopes are high but we don’t have any information about upcoming season. It’s dead sure that series will be back, but when… I don’t know. If anyone from you knows about it, please, please let me know and what are your expectations from upcoming season (Mine… I’ve already told you!)
