FML Acquires Licensing Rights for Miami Ink

Howdy Miami Ink fans. The popularity of the show can be predicted from the fact that FML (FreemantleMedia Enterprises) has shown interest in the show. The distributor has obtained licensing rights for TLC Network’s hit television shows, namely L.A Ink, Miami Ink and American Chopper. This reality show which has just finished the broadcasting of its fifth season has been popular in the messes since its premiere in July, 2005. This season was the last season of this tattooing show as Ami and Nunez had refused the offer of Discovery Communications, to film further episodes of Miami Ink. The reason told by James being ill treatment as James quips, “we weren’t happy with the way we were treated.”

The tattoo shop we all love has seen a lot of changes with time. The shop owned by Ami James and Chris Nunez, initially named 305 Miami has been now changed to Love Hate Tattoos. The location and size of the shop has also changed as you all must have noticed. Now the shop is a bigger one with the original studio converted to a gift shop. But the excitement involved is still the same. The tattoo artists still make the tattoos with same kind of involvement. The show has enthralled the masses with the creativity of the artists like, Ami James. Their creations are beyond imagination.

The show has totally changed the perception of the ordinary people including me about the tattoos. Now we have it clear in our mind that who gets tattooed and why. The most interesting part of the show for me is when we get to see the wide variety of reasons why people want to get tattoos on their bodies. Many times we can relate those reasons to our own life. Now I don’t have to think twice when ever I wish to get my body sculptured all thanks to Miami Ink.

Let’s Talk About Chris Garver

The art of tattooing is no secret now. Thanks to the team of Miami Ink for presenting a great reality show based on this. By involving Chris Garver who has excelled in painting thoughts onto people bodies, the show has exposed the audiences to the best in this field. To talk about a great tattooing artist like him is like limiting the description of the nature in words.

Chris Garver has painted the canvas of “Miami Ink” with a beautiful rainbow as he always came up with something distinct just like a rainbow boasts of seven colors. If one contemplates the idea of “Miami Ink” without him it will be like body without a soul.

His life took twists and turns which took him into the unexplored world of tattooing. But he was brave enough to traverse its bumpy and sometimes treacherous trail.

This great stalwart of “Miami Ink” accidentally got an exposure of this art when he injured his finger at the age of six. To cover up the scar he got it tattooed. He went full on for a tattoo on his body at the age of 15. By the time he was seventeen he took it upon himself to tattoo his own body viewing it as a canvas. In one of his interviews he even said that, “I did my first tattoo on myself because I wanted to be able to show people my work so if they were to trust me, they had to see something that I did.”

Chris Garver’s work on people bodies has made it clear that tattooing involves a great deal of precision and patience. Though there is some pain but it can be tolerated with ease. For an elaborate tattoo, multiple sessions might be required, having about a week’s gap between them. This one of its kind tattoo artist has always banished racist tattoos.

Ami James of Miami Ink Propagates “Live And Let Live”

For a perfect harmony on the planet earth living in unison is of prime importance. In other words I would simply say, “Live and Let Live”.

This thought was nicely propagated by Ami James of “Miami Ink“, as he is now showing us some of his special tattoos along with tag line on “Ink Not Mink”. He is doing this as a part of People for Ethical Treatment of Animals”.

How can we ever forget Ami James of “Miami Ink”, co-owner of Miami Beach, Floria tattoo parlor, Love Hate Tattoos? We also know that this parlor is the main subject of TLC’s reality show “Miami Ink”. He has always been considered among the greatest tattoo artists to have ever descended onto planet earth. Infact, he is a living legend as far as art of tattooing goes.

With this laudable gesture Ami James of “Miami Ink”, has made it clear that he is against brutal acts committed on animals. Though he has always been a very stylish man who constantly keeps up with the latest fashion trends, by not giving his support to fur industry he has also made it clear that fashion, at the cost of torturing of innocent species, can not be justified.

“Miami Ink’s” Ami James, in one of his PETA’s interviews, stated that “I was watching TV and then all of a sudden there was something about Roberto Cavalli`s fashion and I saw people wearing cheetah furs and all sorts of crazy things like that … to the point where I got asked to do a Cavalli vodka design and I said, `F*** no, I am not doing it. I will never do it”.

Ami James has been the signature of “Miami Ink”. He, being a great narrator of the various real stories that take place in premise of “Miami Ink” and a legendry figure in the world of tattooing art the show, has always rocked.

The insight into personal lives of customers wanting to be tattooed is always exciting to watch. “Miami Ink“, has peen cancelled after four seasons but it has been an amazing journey into lives of those eager for tattoos on their flesh as well as legends who have mastered this rare art.

The First International Bar of Love Hate

Our favorite TV show “Miami Ink” stars, Chris Nunez and Ami James have chosen Montreal as the first International setting for their rock bar, “Love Hate.”

The bar would open up for public from Thursday, 29^th January, 2009 from 8 pm onwards. It is situated on the corner of Notre-Dame Est and Place Jacques Cartier, in Old Montreal. It will be an awesome opportunity for media and fans to see their favorite tattoo masters. Amongst various high names of the tattoo world, people like Sterling Downey and Pierre Chaplan would be there.

The house where ‘Love Hate’ has been made, was built in 1800 on land gifted to Lambert Closse by Paul de Chomedey de Maisonneuve.

After the debut and success of reality TV show “Miami Ink” Love Hate (an American Band) was launched. The show shot Ami James and Chris Nunez to international fame and their brand has a wide variety of line ups like a tattoo parlor, a clothing line, a chopper shop, a couple of lounges and also Love Hate Productions.

The show simply rocks, and the success of other ventures, especially this bar in Montreal is a testimony of this fact.

No more of ‘Miami Ink’

After the season four, ‘Miami Ink’ is over. Although we all were expecting another season of series, but TLC Network has made it clear that series would not return with fifth season.

Series was all about a tattoo shop and it took us into the depth of the tattoos world, giving closer view to the customers seeking to have tattoos. In each episode, we met a no. of customers with different backgrounds and with different reasons to choose their tattoos. Personal lives of the tattoo artists, Ami James, Chris Garver, Darren Brass and Chris Nunez, were also given an equal importance.

When ‘Miami Ink‘ began, we watched all the tattoo artists working in the same shop. Later, they went their separate ways and opened their different tattoo parlous in Los Angeles. As the time passed by, they realized that they must reunite and open their tattoo parlor together.
